Willet - New Jersey, USA
A willet works the tall grass of the New Jersey wetlands, caught mid-flight in stark black and white — wings driving, bill levelled, the dark marsh falling away beneath. Down in the grass its meal moves unseen; up here, the hunter never stops working the air. Motion rendered as sculpture: hunger, given wings.
